Hey guys, Yes it's me again.
I was looking under the hood last night at the ac lines checking for leaks, and I seen something else that concerned me. It is the throttle cable. It is connected to a silver round thing (sorry I don't know the terminalogy all that well, or what that part is for that matter). The silver round part is on the left side of the engine, by the windshield washer fluid. Well, the connection is there but there is a white plastic piece that appears to be broken. The cable is still connected, but that white piece is concerning me. Do I need to change out the throttle cable, or whatever it is connected to?
Thanks for any insite you can come up with!

Is it like a clearish, white connector? If it is, it might just be the connector that holds it in place. On my car it broke and i havent had any problems withoutit.

Yep, a clearish white connecter. It looks like it does hold the cable in place. I may clean off the dirt and grime (not to much there). And also put some duct tape or something that looks better to the eye over it so dirt can't get in there. A friend of mine took a peak at it and said that I should put something over it, so it won't get dirt in there.

If it was fixed I would assume the whole throttle cable would have to be replaced. It does not look like something I would want to do.

Throttle cables are cheap and easy to replace.

What did you decide on the cable?

I am leaving it for the time being. When I have time I can call Ford and see how much Ford wants for it, email Bill Jenkins for a price.
Possibly make a trip to John's Auto Parts for misc. parts. I wouldn't buy that from the junk yard, I'd rather have something like that new. It will be something I can do, after I find other parts.
I am also in search of windshield wiper refills. I used to use Bosch, but Napa or any other parts store only sell the whole assembly. I like what I had on there to begin with, the new whole assembly hisses as the wind pass thru them when I drive, very annoying to me. I think I heard somewhere that Anco is also a refill I can use?? I am not sure, but will check it out.
Are you heading out to University any time soon? smile

I bought my car bra from Checkers in Cottage Grove, my man Lance came through on it. But I am in search of a better quality bra, because this one stretched pretty easy and it doesnt have a soft backing to help with not scratching the hood(goin to repaint if I take the bra off).

When i was searching for bras, I found that they were in the price range of 50+. I went with the cheapest one since I will repaint the hood, if I decide to take off the bra.
