May 18th 2002 Cruise Information

· When: Saturday May 18th. Approximately 9:00 – 3:00
· Where: Initial gathering point in Bloomington. Route is Bloomington
to Owatonna, scenic route to
Alden, MN (Tailfins Malt Shop), return route via I-90 and I-35 to the
Twin City area.
· Why: To enjoy our cars, other members, eat a greasy burger and see
a new place
· Who: Organizer is Dave Smith. Work 952-844-4081, home 952-914-9260

Starting point location Parking lot of the Ft.Snelling Club
Meeting time Be there by 9:00 AT THE LATEST
Departure time – depart at 9:05 AM 9:05 AM from Ft. Snelling
First Stop – approximately 10:00 Owatonna. Gathering point is the
parking lot of the Heritage Halls Museum 2 miles north of Owatonna.
Take Exit #45. The museum is on the west side of I-35. We will pick
up Carl Wieman and others at this stop.
Owatonna tour – 10:10 – 10:20 We will make one lap of Owatonna and
then head for metropolitan Alden, MN.
Alden – arrive at 11:30 We will stop at Tailfins Malt Shop for lunch,
shopping in their auto memorabilia store and awarding the trivia
contest prizes.
Departure – 1:30 PM We wave a fond farewell and hit the road
Return route Interstates going back
Arrive in Twin Cities about 3:00-3:15 Everyone heads home

Trivia Contest: In Owatonna everyone will be given a trivia question
sheet. This has questions about things we will see between Owatonna
and Alden. We will determine the winners during lunch. Top winners
receive a free lunch at Tailfins.

Contour Club: We are being joined be several members of the Ford
Contour Club in Owatonna. Thanks to Carl Wieman for setting this up.

I have to say, "I am on HOLD right now." I need close to accurate times, because one of my friends asked me to go to prom and it's that night.

But if we are going to get back by 3, I may be able to swing it. So Sorry I can't get you an answer yet.
