Hello all,
I went to the Mall of America last weekend and had a run of bad luck. As I walked out to my car with my friends there was a note on my car. It said that they had seen someone hit my car and leave, and that Mall security had the information on the MN license plates. The great guy I have met was great. He helped me talk to the security people at the mall and then had the Bloomington police come out. The mall security said that the vehicle was a dark green Ford Bronco or a Chevy Blazer. Well, the cops ran the plates and they came up as a Volvo. How nice.

They did very minor damage, they clipped my passenger mirror and the case split in half, leaving the mirror.

What a way to end an awesome night. It turned out ok, if my new friend wasn't there I would have freaked out. But they helped me more then anyone else would have.

Does anyone know where I can get a Tan mirror case for my car for cheap? And does the whole mirror have to be replaced? I need some good ideas, used or new, I am not really that picky. I don't really want to go thru my insurance route. I will if I have to, but if I can find it somewhere else that'd be great! frown

Have you asked a dealer to see how much they cost? Scavenging the junkyards is also an option. Bill Jenkins would also be a good person to check with too.

Here is Bill Jenkins' email: parts@sentryautogroup.com

I'll try to find his 1-800 number for you later. I have to run to a meeting.

Bill still might be "away"(as he likes to put it).

Thanks so much for the info. I will try to call Bill, and will probably make a trip to the junkyard this weekend.
