Ha! Ha! The mad ducks! :p That's funny, I remember laughing at those boys b/c they would have to quack real loud in cadence to/from school! Are you in school there or blue rope? Hmm.. there aren't too many E-5's in school there, but maybe? If you are in school there, which I doubt, you will outrank all of the NCO's that run the 333. I studied there for AWACS, and it was okay  , I hated the triangle, and I was glad to go. I am currently Cadet Vashro instead of Airman Vashro, and it's alot nicer on the this side

Hey Stephanie, Right now I am a sophmore at St. Cloud State, but I am only an MS-I in the Army program (there is no AF prog. here) I am only an MS-I b/c I wouldn't contract with them  . I am transferring down to the U of M, and going to go into the Air Force program (where I belong ), and hopefully will graduate in June '04, hmmm... who am I kidding? It'll probably be '05 before I get out of here Are you an active duty cadet? Congratulations on becoming a 2nd Lt!!! See you around! ~Chuck

Either way, only 13 more years to retirement!! Anyway, I am attending optional one month upgrade schools, which have nothing to do with skill level, (I am a 5-level in my 2nd career field), but I am just going for something to do until we deploy in June.

Chuck, I'm so sorry I haven't gotten back to the boards before now. Yes, I'm an active duty cadet. I'm looking forward to graduation!! I'm going into Missile Ops and will be stationed at Vandenberg AFB for tech school. From there I'm requesting to go to Minot AFB. We'll see! I can only go there, Warren in Wyoming or Malmstrom in Montana. Good luck on your transfer to the U!! Air Force is the way to go! (No offense, Andy! ) GO AIR FORCE!! Stephanie

Hey Stephanie,
You should be able to go to Minot with your MOS, but they might be closing it soon, like they did Kelly. I am not sure why you would want to go there, but hey, everyone is different. Good luck! I hate the ARMY ROTC. The cadre is cool, but I much prefer the AF. I thought about going Air Guard this summer, I'd just have to go to tech school, and then I can get a kicker for being in ROTC in the fall. What do you think?

Of course my response is go Air Force all the way. It's just a matter of knowing where you want to be in the end. If it's your commission that's important to you...you can go either active duty or reserve. But, you already know that. Best of luck whatever you decide!
