I'd go with 205/40's thats usally standard with 17's on a contour but I would roll with 18's wrapped with 215/40's it takes up a litle more wheel well space

Can you do that here in MN?

A friend of mine put new 17 inch Evo (mille miglia?) wheels on his Talon with about a 45 profile. A couple weeks later he hit a thick expansion gap (courtesy of MN winter-spring) and it put a flat spot in both wheels. Think square wheels. That's what the kid's wheels looked like on a tire spinner. messed up his cornering too (obviously).

Not saying you shouldn't do it. Just be careful.

Yeah you can put 17"'s on here in MN. I had them on my 91 Escort and they did just fine wrapped in 205/40ZR17.

if you are going to put on 17's wait until like late May. By then MN should have fixed the major bumps(OH wait I'm talkin about MN here).

!7's are very possible here in MN.

Check the sig and these pics.
http://members6.clubphoto.com/anthony485516/541255-P8c40/owner-29ce.phtml The rims are 17x7.5". I have not gotten the springs on yet but I don't think they will scrub with the 45mm offset.

Hi all:

I'm somewhat new to the forum. I've never posted in the MN section so I thought I should introduce myself. This will be my setup this spring. I ran the rims and tires, 215/45/ZR17, all last summer and never had any problems. The wheels are O.Z. Racing Supperleggera's and the tires are Bridgestone S-03's. I took my car to Road America in the fall, see Pics and Vids, and the tires have gobs of grip. So much that I blew my power steering pump on the skid pad.

Josh, you gotta be the guy I got the exhaust and suspension from late last fall. Thanks! I did end up buying that car back this past weekend. Check my signature out for my current project.

PS- how's the restaurant going?

Hey Rick!

I was the one who sold you my stock suspension. S/C 3.0!? How far are you on it?

Restaurant is great. Trying to get #2 open.

Josh
