Guys, I think we've got a caravan leaving from Des Moines on Thursday the 2nd of May. I'm not sure where you guys are planning on dropping down at, but if you head down I-35 to start we can have one helluva group headed that way. I know we've got myself, Brad, and a couple guys from KC, plus meeting at least one more in the quad cities. Let me know what you guys think.

Unfortunately, that would take us about 2 hours out of our way to get down to Des Moines, but if we ran a timing pattern we could hook up in Chicago or just over the Indiana border, and then continue the rest of the way together.

The route we took last year was I94 to Madison, I-90 to Chicago (looped Chicago wide (wider than I plan to this time)), then hooked back on I94 the rest of the way (I took a detour to South Bend, IN to visit friends...)

Destination is Kalamazoo, MI.

Hey what are the dates! I'd love to go again! This time I will be staying around for the races. And I'm not talking about the fun run through Chicago traffic. Right James!?! Do they have a hotel deal yet? Let me know.
P.S. Big trouble with the tour and those A--HOLES at Apple Valley Ford! I'm out $1600 and all they lost was a customer! I repeat A--HOLES!!!

dates are the 2nd-5th of may. Hotel discounts should be announced soon in the nationals section of the forums. Hey RT, I had HUGE probs with Apple Valley ford and had to mention going to the media before they would cover my warranty repair. They did give me a refund in the end but I will look elsewhere for my next ride. Airlake ford has been great for service!

Hey Andy, what was the problem with your car? Mine was a clutch that was a problem from day one. They said they couldn't duplicate the problem even though I told them how to do it. (When the car is cold take her up to 40 in third gear, at about 3500 rpm step on the gas and the clutch will slip every time) I can't be more specific then that can I? Of course they were able to make it happen AFTER the clutch was no longer covered under warrenty just like the fog lights, temp probe and alternator. People who run a business this way make me sick! Not only will I never buy a car from these folks again neither will anyone I know if I have anything to say about it! Just remember kids,"Crappy Valley Ford, just so NO!" WOW that felt good! Thanks for letting me vent! Anyway Andy did you get a recall notice on your dash? I did not and the defrost insert is popping out on mine all the time. That notice would come from Ford national and not the dealership would it not?
