For 2449.2 I can get 13 months of 1.1 u/d guaranteed 80% Speak Easy SDSL to my house with four static IP's. There are no limitations on usage or bandwidth. It us unlimited. That price includes $100 hook-up, first month free, the next 12 paid up front with 10% of the regular 199 a month. This does include my cost of cancellation of my personal DSL. All I would have to do is run it by my roommate who is a Unix/Linux Admin.

Network guys? Can 80% of a 1.1 u/d SDSL line support the CEG during it's heavy hours!!!
I live only a few minutes form Matt so the only down time would be the installation of the line which is about three weeks!
This is about $15 from from each of 200 people including Paypal fees!
Anyone like this idea!

Except that Lance would like to get the server back first because he wants to make some upgrades to the OS and change out a disk that is developing some bad sectors. Not that it can't be done in the three weeks of set up...but it might be around a month or so. But it would all be for the good of the site, so it doesn't run into problems later. =) Christy

Just down the street, with a stop in Seattle  A T1 is ~1.5Mbps... So with 80% of 1.1 we'd be at .88Mbps guaranteed. Not knowing how the usage will be after the site is down for a month, it's tough to know exactly how much bandwidth is needed.

Well, CEG has saved me probably ~$1k already in repair stuff (thats an absolute minimum) so $15 is loose change.
