WOW!!! What a great time! Nice cars, nice people. Missed out on the autocross today though. D..MIT!!! Great fun runs through the twisties in the country side! I'm just starting to mod my car and the people at the zing could'nt have been more helpful. Great place to get ideas. From simple exhaust mods to superchargers. First class event. The guys who set it up busted their a..es! 3 of us tour (2 SVT's and 1 SE)folks from MN went down(or across)there last Thursday. They did stay to race so maybe they'll post the results. If you have the chance next year you gotta go! Some folks even managed to get into a little trouble.

I think a mini zing would be great! We would probably get a better turnout if we could offer people a chance to show off their cars but getting a parking lot to auto-X on in the summer I think would be tough. Maybe someone out there (and PLEASE speak up if your that someone) has a connection at a small track and we could auto-X in the parking lot and do some hot laps on the track this fall. But we need to get some support from the local membership to get people excited. I don't mean just you Andy. I see post of people saying Yah "let's do it" but that's as far as it goes. If we get just one event together I think we won't have a problem doing one in the future because people will remember what a great time they had at the first one and will want to make it happen again. Car counts from Spring Zing (from what I've heard) 2000 15 cars, 2001 over 50. I'm willing to do my part. If people who read this have ideas post them and let's make it happen! OK enough cheerleading I've gotta go put some Nokzima on me sunburned left arm.

Well, back safe and sound as well...

I am in favor of a mini-Zing as well. Auto-X would be very difficult to do on our own, but maybe the Land O' Lakes SCCA may be doing something, or one tech school I believe also does them.

A fun run through the Wisconsin Countryside like we did last fall may be easier. I'm open for any suggestions, and we can see what we can put together.

SVTcarboy, Glad to hear from you again! Yes, it was a fun blast thru Wis. last summer. The Dakota Tech Autocross thing is on hold while they get their insurance worked out. Doesn't look good.I'm checking car shows(small local ones) and Porky's on university has a rodding group there almost all the time on weekends. I'll keep at it. any suggestions just let me know.
