I'll be moving down to Houston at the end of October from New York. As much as I love New York, because of a job oppportunity I am gonna make the move.

I noticed this board doesn't see much activity! frown You guys have meets and such? I really enjoy the get togethers we have here in NY and I hope do the same down in there.

I was transferred here many years ago from Pittsburgh. You are arriving here when the half-decent weather starts. Not too much going on, the flood we just had sort of screwed things up. Also, some of the folks I knew do not have Contours/Mystiques anymore and/or moved. I still have my 2. There are a few serious AutoX around, I never got into that. You can contact me at don_craig@juno.com if you want.

Yeah, not much goes on around here. I go to the track occasionally, but with my buddies who don't have Contours. By the way, what part of Queens are you from. I was born in Jamaica and moved here about ten years ago.

I am originally from Long Island but moved to South Ozone Park Queens when I got a job in the city. I'm right near JFK airport.

How do you like Houston? I know the weather sucks in the Summer, but it's nice in the winter.

We really should get meets together. I assume there are some strips out there where people bring their cars and hang out?

Rented a limo first fri there. smile Anyway, if you ever get bored down in houston, drive on up to dallas. we've always got somethin goin on. My email at work is cmccoy@greyhound.com and my personal email is claymccoy@hotmail.com Be glad you didn't have to move here during the middle of summer!! I moved 15 miles 3 weeks ago....THAT SUCKED! I was born in Jamaica, about 6 blocks away from St. Johns University. I moved just before i finished Rynan middle school. I go as often as possible (my dad and brother still live over there).

As far as Houston goes, yeah, it gets hot as hell. There's not much as far as ceg goes, but there's an import scene. And we do have a track here. Houston Raceway is about 20 minutes from Downtown and is said to be one of the fastest (just not during the summer months, im sure).

Hit me with an email if you need to know more or when you get here. edollagaray@prodigy.net

Oh yeah, Dallas is about 3-4 hours away. They do meet almost monthly, although i've yet to make it out there. And the national meet is in Dallas next year.
smile

Hello fellow ceg peeps. I invite you to come and join a houston based car club. I was also hiting the SVT scene with a no show turn out. I have since then found a great bunch of car lovers at www.houston-imports.com . These guys have shown me nothing but love the first time I went to a dinner with them. They meet for dinner on wendsday and club meet on saturday the turn outs are really big best of all there are never problems among group members and they welcome everyone and they have permission to meet at texas burgers on saturday visit the board to find out more. Anyway I invite you guys to come out I know you will have a good time. Remember the soul of the contour is from europe. Anyway hope to see you there. Later!!!
