I am not to sure if you all are familure with my situation so.... As posted earlier I just bought my SVT(used) cel came on, took it to a Ford dealer and they wrecked it. They say they are obligated to only fix the damages that occured while it was in thier pocession. I believe that the car will depreciate big time with accident history and that I should be compensated. Also they are only painting parts of the car(front bumper, left fender, hood, both drivers side doors. What if it dont match perfectly and look like some jig saw puzzle. Should I look into legal action?
Thanks,
MAx

PS I saw two SVT's today (weird)

I would suggest legal action if and only if the paint and repairs are not adequate and if you have substantial proof the repairs are inferior in some way. And if you have enough evidence that your cars value has been lowered due to the accident seek legal council on the situation search the web plenty of resourceful info there.

All I can say is I'm sorry that happened to you. As far as legal advice is concerned I really don't know, they're some very smart people on the board that can help, but I'm not one of them (Keith). Sorry man.

A decent car dealer of any make should see to it that you are satisfied. Anything that occurred while the dealer had your car should be corrected and the car should be made the same as it was when you took it there for service. So look it over carefully but don't make any dishonest claims, not that you would, and if you are not satisfied, talk to the Service Manager or the Body Shop Manager and if that does not do any good, talk to the General Manager or the owner of the dealer. You might need to talk to the latter about compensation for the value of your car. Most of all, keep a cool head and be rational in your discussion to with whomever you speak. If after all this, you are still not happy, you can call Ford and explain the situation and be as detailed as you can. People can be too quick to say that I am going to get a lawyer. Leave going to court as the final option. Max, let us know how it goes!!
