When is the Fun Ford Weekend? If it is this weekend, I have a full slate of stuff already. I have been trying to generate interest outside of these Forums by putting CEG flyers on cars. There seems to be a bit of apathy in the local area as to the car we have.
I didn't even know what we we bought until I started to come to these Forums nearly two years after we went to McRee Ford to buy another Escort and we were "sold up" to the Contour. That salesman did us a favor!! This car drives real nice. If I knew then what I know now we might have bought an MTX, or even an SVT. Read this post and check out these roads when you get the chance:

Fun driving even in the cars we had before. The Contour makes them even more fun!!

Keith

Hey Keith:

Thanks for the welcome. I am not sure when FFW is, I will check and get back to you. My son drives a Focus and it will be in the car show both days.

My car is sick right now so I am not driving it and really sad about that. Have you heard anything, good or bad, about Texan Ford?

I won't buy another car there but that goes back many years before it was an auto-nation dealer.
Service department is okay so I've been told.
What kind of sick is your car.

My service problem??? Well that's a huge story, but just to cut to the chase, Texan Ford had my car in service for 30+ days for a noise that developed in the right front after the car slid into a curb in the rain. They alleged changed lots of parts and then had an engineer from Ford in Detroit here to work on it. Ultimately, I was told that there was nothing they could do and Ford and Texan Ford wanted nothing more to do with my car. They told me to file a claim in my insurance and have it totaled. Well State Farm didn't see it that way as the car is still driveable. Well part of the problem was that when the car was in the body shop at Texan they replaced the front bumper and didn't replace a screw. So at high speeds that loose piece made lots of noise.

All of the noise is not gone and State Farm recommended I take it somewhere else as Texan Ford no longer wanted to work on it. Texan did tell me at some point that they checked the transmission, however, the car is at a transmission shop right now because Tripp's Auto Tech in Katy recommended that type of service.

I'll keep ya'll informed.
