Thanks for the comments guys!

Flying, I do my own mods when I can. Installing an LSD is more than I want to tackle on a driveway.

Also, a hoist greatly simplifies working under the car. With my eibach springs, there's about 5 inches clearance.

I'll check out Performance Imports.

These are the following mods I have done so far:

Cold Air Intake - removed, stalling problems
Pro Flo 75 mm MAF
Eibach Springs
SHO Shop UDP
SHO Shop Y-Pipe
SHO Shop Front & Rear Strut Tower Braces
SCA 21 mm Rear Sway Bar
Brad Hall Rear End Links
Battery Relocate to Trunk
Baer Brakes - 13" Rotors with 2 Piston Calipers
17" ASA IS6 Rims
RE730 Bridgestone Tires

Hi All, I live in Pearland. I am the proud co-driver of a 2000 SVT Contour. Yes I co-driver, because my wife gets to drive our Contour all the time. It is Silver Frost and we have added limo tint and "SVT" badges just above the "24V OHC" emblems on the fenders. We enjoy driving this car. So far I have had it upto 130MPH and still pulling hard. I have yet to find a good piece of road that will push the suspension to its' limits. Future mods mods include K&N conical, custom cold air improvements and better brake pads.

P.S. there is one other SVT in town that we know of....

What's up my name is Gabriel I live in houston North side. Richey Road area. I had no idea there were so many people here in houston that visit this site. We should get together some time like the other members do in other cities. Red 2000 SVT . See it from 610 South loop Hanover Compression Company parked there daily . K&N filter charger, Richbrook shifter and emergencybrake handle tinted windows. There is a black SVT I have seen around my workplace everyonce and a while any member here own it?

Hiya Keith W... I drive a silver 98.0 SVT, completely stock until the warranty expires (end of March!). Actually, we met last month when I was at your next door neighbor's house. Since then, I got a set of Firehawk SZ50EP's (from TireRack.com) and love them.

FWIW, I live inside the loop not far from the Astrodome. I haven't seen too many other SVT's around town... There's a pretty black one I see at the Home Depot at 610 near Fournace, and I've seen another black one (the same one?) several times at the AMC Studio 30 theatre on Dunvale.

Planned mods after warranty expires:
  • K&N filter
  • Tranny fluid cocktail
  • Short-throw shifter (although I'm not sure here... I've had a tough time engaging a gear at startup when it's cold)

Regards,

Garrick

I live in Katy and work in Houston. I try to drive mine daily, unless it is in the shop. Anyone going to Fun Ford Weekend at Baytown?
