Hello Clay,
Thank you for taking the time to contact eBay about item #1822558347. I
will be more than happy to help you with this concern.
We appreciate that you have contacted us regarding this issue, but eBay
doesn't actually handle the merchandise that is offered for auction.
Without firsthand knowledge of the item, we are unable to guarantee the
accuracy of the listing information. Part of this information is
contained in our User Agreement, under article 3. I have included a
portion of that Article below for your review:
"...3.1 Overview. Our site acts as the venue for sellers to list items
(or, as appropriate, solicit offers to buy) and buyers to bid on items.
We are not involved in the actual transaction between buyers and
sellers. As a result, we have no control over the quality, safety or
legality of the items advertised, the truth or accuracy of the listings,
the ability of sellers to sell items or the ability of buyers to buy
items. We cannot ensure that a buyer or seller will actually complete a
transaction..."
We suggest that members who are knowledgeable about specific items
contact the seller with a polite email addressing the situation. The
sellers are usually thankful for the information you have to provide as
they may have been misinformed about the item when they purchased it.
For future reference, contacting bidders and informing them not to bid
on an item for any reason is considered auction interference. That is
considered a "Buying Offense" and is documented on our "Investigations"
page:
"Transaction interference - Emailing buyers in an open or ended
transaction to warn them away from a seller or item."
The "Investigations" page in its entirety can be found at the URL below:
