OP G Pappas Member G Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 237 Alexandria, VA	On the 2.5L engine, there are two black hoses that come out of the top of the upper intake manifold (UIM). The Ford Technical Service Publication (TSP) says that they are the main emission vacuum control connector (9E498) and brake booster vacuum connector. Does anyone know which one is which? 1996 Contour SE Sedan 4D (Royal Blue) Duratec V6 2.5L 24-valve DOHC Automatic 75,000 miles No Mods (unless you call the DMD a mod) Replaced EGR valve (gunked up), EVR (EGR VR), PCV valve, and evaporative emissions hose (cracked).

Ghosst Moderator G Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 1,251 Barrie, Ontario	Brake booster line can be easily traced back to the brake booster. It sits further forward of the two. 98 Contour / 99 ZX2 HS

Ghosst Moderator G Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 1,251 Barrie, Ontario	lol, so did I. Held it in place for a temp repair with airplane glue until the new hose came in. It was only 12 CAD. 98 Contour / 99 ZX2 HS
