On the 2.5L engine, there are two black hoses that come out of the top of the upper intake manifold (UIM).

The Ford Technical Service Publication (TSP) says that they are the main emission vacuum control connector (9E498) and brake booster vacuum connector.

Does anyone know which one is which?

Brake booster line can be easily traced back to the brake booster. It sits further forward of the two.

lol, so did I. Held it in place for a temp repair with airplane glue until the new hose came in. It was only 12 CAD.
