How was the transmission?

We're you able to spin them off the line and pull 2nd to see the pull it had and was there a dip at 3200 RPM?
I did'nt have any shifting problem at any rpm and I did push it hard. The transmission is smoother than in the CSVT. The clutch in the regular Mondeo is lighter than that of my SVT and engages sooner during the pedal movement. I had to drive for few hours to get used to it. In the ST220 however, I had the same feeling as in the SVT with the clutch engaging much higher.

From the mechanical and the performance points of view, the regular Mondeo and the Mondeo ST220 are two different cars!

"...obvious why Ford stripped down the car the last time they brought it over."

They were not "brought over", Contiques were made in Kansas City and Mexico.

We won't see the current Mondeo, probably the 2005-6 versions. Too far away. shocked
