i need tints. not sure weather to get like a limo tint in the back and 20% on all four front or make the back three limo and the front two smoke?any one seen a car with a dark back and lighter front four, i want it to look as dark as possible without getting real dark(legal reasons).

not sure about legality, but I think anything higher than 35% on the back and sides is illegal.

Anything Tint on back is legal even limo. Nothing on front half of car! Anything on the front windows is a $75.00 ticket. And no front lisence plate is $25.00 ticket. Those are the Illinois State Rules!  lu

Believe me I have talked to a few police about this. Anything on the front or front sides is illegal. A banner on the front winshield is legal as long as it is not longer than 3 inches from the top.

I have 35% all around, and IMO they look fantastic. I wouldn't recommend going lower than that #

lu I have gotten to many warnings for the license plate. To the topic: I have 35% in the back 3 windows.

i know that limo is legal in the back three and the front is illegal but ill deal with that when i have too, but what about types of film that are used, whats the best(most expensive) ones, i dont need fadeing or cracking.

Same cop pulled me over in Lombard twice, once in april and then once in may the day before my birthday and the first time he gave me a ticked for the tints and warned me for the plate in the front and then in may he pulled me over again and gave me another ticket for the tints along with a ticket for no front plate and no insurance, this cop was a jag, and i had 36% in the front and 21% in the back. So thank god im good freinds with a lawyer and he took care of all that bull for me. And the law use to be 35% in the front but now you can't have anything at all on the front windows.
