hey guys, i just got sent an email that is addressed to me from cardoc@fordcontour.org. i just happened to be talking to cardoc about my indiglos and asked him about the mail. he said do not open it because i didnt send me anything. the title of the email is: "jul 02 2002 05" if you recieve a similar email do not open it! i wonder why we are under assult all of the sudden? milan's experience and now this. someone is playing with the wrong people. please be alert now for similar emails. i have the ip being traced right now by friends of mine in the criminology dept. at earthlink so we will see what happens. i am just lucky that i didnt open the virus but whoever sent it isnt going to be so lucky.

well, if it was sent from cardoc, then he has a virus, a virus doesnt spread unless its opened. btw if your getting an attachment file to email, the the author didnt tell u hes gonna send it, its probably a virus. b4 i download anything from my emails, i have to know im expecting it. u should do the same, b4 downloading anything onto your computer, plz contact the person that sent it to you, to know its save.

Usually that only affects Outlook users b/c the attachments are automatically opened (most people have it set that way). AOL users usually don't have that problem.

With outlook attachments are not automaticlly opened.... I have been using outlook for years and it has never opened an attachment without me doing it... you have to click on the paperclip and select open or save for it to do anything with the attachment. pictures are the only thing that are kind of opened automaticlly but you can always disable the preview window if you are really afrade of a picture having a virus in it. but in my experience I have never had a problem with a picture having that.
