Methinks the Contour was not designed for off-roading...

will 18s even fit in the wheel wells? If so, then that small margin of space you have will slow you down once the off-road mud gets in there.

Find Antonio on this site. PM him if you can. If I remember correctly, he has 18's and I think it's lowered.

BTW, his ride is sweeeeeeet

Does it need to be lowered?...in MY opinion...yes
Will they fit?...Absolutely...we have guys running around with 19's.

Is it absolutely necessary to lower the car, no. It will simply look much better once lowered...but it doesn't look all that bad with just the 18's. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

I don't think 18's look good on this car lowered or not!

So not looking good and serious degradation of performance is 2 serious strikes against them IMO.

The car does not need to be lowered to have 18's. If you do get 18's I do suggest you lower the car becuase it will make the car look some much better.

DemonSVT, I respect your opinion but to me. The SVT plain is like leaving a painting bare white. You leave it alone you have a boring canvas IMHO.
