The fastest Cougar ran a 15.29 with only a Weapon R intake/filter and Borla system (MTX). The slowest cougar (ATX, stock) ran 17.2. I ran a 16.47@85.39 which I think is great for my setup and considering I wasn't really trying that hard. Jay was there with his 00 SVT and his best was a 15.11 and had a few runs around 15.2 or so.

Actually Eric ran a 15.116@91.23 as his lowest run, which was his last one of the day. His runs, from first to last, are 15.52@89.52, 15.299@89.1, 15.311@90.52, then the 15.116@91.23 run.. we were ALL amazed, since he doesnt even have headers on his car and that is SVT speed (or better).. All he has is KKM, Pro Flow MAF, and Borla. My best was 15.6.. My personal best so far.. previous was like 15.8. Hey dan - i hope heather wasn't too scary/insane for ya

To Dan and everyone else including the Couger owners that showed up, thanks guys for coming out. Congrats on your win Dan, great job! Whats really impressive more so then your times is your mph. That kind of mph is generally displayed by cars running approximently .8-1.0 seconds faster then you. I think that shows your car has some great potentional waiting to be unleashed. As for the racing. There were time brackets that it was broken down into. The actual racing was heads up. I was a little disapointed that the SVT's that were there didnt participate in the challenge as I think everyone that did, ahd fun doing so. Keep your ears open as I plan on making this a yearly event. Renaming it and opening it up to all AMERICAN made compact and small cars. I will cordinate with the track next time around so as to have more time available to us next time around. As for Eric in his Cougar. All I can say is damn! I was very impressed with his times. That 15.116 was against me. I barely got by him in our race and that was only because I nailed in on the reaction time. Still Eric if your reading this, damn good job. Heather had wht I took was a lets just all have fun attitude which was the kind of people I was hoping would show up. Thanks to all who were a part of this and I look forward to doing this again.

I agree Steve! It's good to see that most people just went out to have fun. Winning a race would have been nice, but it didn't matter. I had a killer time and hopefully we can bring on some more Contours to race you guys from Midwest Racing!
Steve -- I must also agree completely on my speed. It was interesting in my runs how shifting the ATX at different points could affect my MPH by a lot. I will still screw around with it. I actually found that when I dropped my tire pressure to 28 from 32 I gained 0.1sec! I think maybe a Superchip would definitely shave a few tenths off because the car shifts very slow from 2nd to 3rd. If I could run around 16.0 I would be quite happy. But after seing that 15.11 Cougar, I might order the new MAF!
Tell all the guys from Midwest thanks for coming out to race us, it was nice to meet them all.

Hey FastTrnsAm, thanks for the high-five man. Everything seemed to be working for me yesterday except that DAMN reaction time. I never got below a .8 either. If I could have got your holeshot at .605, I think I may have had a chance at 15.0 -- but that would have broke me out of the bracket we were racing together in then.
Either way, it was great to meet you and everyone else from your group. We definitely need to meet up again sometime and do some more racing. Hey, I never got to tell ya good race either. I had my wife and 3 kids there at the end of it and they were wanting to head home after being there all day.
Hey Dan, it was nice meeting you too. I'm glad I got a chance to meet a few more people from around the different boards on the net there.
I'll talk to you at the next meet!

Hey guys! I had a good time too. Sorry I had to leave early. I won my first run, but had to head for home right after. I can't belive how many cars were there. I got there around 10 and left at 2 and only got three runs in...that sucks! Stupid Vetts! Got my times down to a 15.4. Can't figure out how Jay is .3 quicker. I think maybe I am not launching hard enough and that damn 3rd to 4th feels like I drop some power??? I still have the stock plugs and wires in, maybe a change would help? Congrats to Dave and his low 12's, Jay I'm going to figure out what's up with my Cart soon. I did get somewhere around 28mpg on the way home..that is a huge improvement! Dan, those were some pretty good numbers for an auto! And Eric...Damn you must have a freak under the hood Karla got her Cougar down to 15.9 and was very happy. She said she had a good time hanging out with you guys after I left. Did anyone see what the ASSC Pro 5.0 ran?

i would have gone but considering the contour\cougars questionable reliability i tend not to beat on my car that much, iam too afraid it will break... but hey, some good runs, never thought a non svt would be faster than 15.5s....

Hey guys, The SVTPerformance crew doesn't bite. I know we all hang out together but i always brake off and go say Hi to other FORD owners, so don't be afraid to do the same. i live at Byron on the weekends. i have the Black Lightning that has a JDM engineering/SVTPerformance.com windshield header and Ford Racing and a GOT EATON??? sticker on the back window. or just look for the black truck running low to mid 12s
Yea Jay has a BADA$$ SVT, i taught him everything he knows.....LOL

I think that 5.0 ASSC Stang was running like mid 8's at about 160??? The snowmobile running 9@140 was scary!!!!
