Hey guys WhatzUp? Just found out that the MidWest Racing Club has put out a challenge to all us Contour drivers. The have set up a Grand Am VS Contour event on the 12th at Byron Dragway and I need your support. The club has a few Grand Am's (five I think?) and I am the only Contour...so come out and help me put them down! Being the guy that is putitng this together I ll answer some questions. When you show up at the track tell them you are with Midwest Racing for Contour VS. Grand Am challenge. Try to sow up around 11:00-11:30 so you can get a few runs in so you have some time slips so that we can put you in a class. The racing will be heads up. Plan on spending some time at the track that day. As I said before I will be giving certificates to the winner of each class so be prepared to give me your mailing address if you win. As it stands right now I am expecting at least 10-12 Grand Ams to show up. I am allowing cars built on similar chassis to compete. This means Aleros, Cougers, Skylarks, and the likes will be allowed to run. We have one Contour and two Cougers in the club and 7-8 Grand Ams. I will be meeting with Black98SVT shortly to finalize the rules for this challenge. So nows the time to start checking in and let us know your coming. I look forward to making new friends and having some fun racing. Hopefully this can go well enough that we can make this a yearly event and make some noise for small/compact AMERICAN made cars. Lets make it happen people! Be there!

hmmmm this could be fun... i have a question... what does the winner get? i am wondering.. not saying that i am going to win or anything , like is there a cash prize, trophy? i would like to have something nice besides a piece of paper saying i killed all the grand ams there. lol
gotta love my confidence huh? how about everyone throws in "X" ammount of money and have a nice sized pool and winner takes all.. being that Byron is far from my house, its a decent drive, and with gas prices these days, and the cost to fill up the NohohS it can get costly... well im hoping that i will be able to make it... i hope to see a supercharged contour there.. i never rode in one or raced one yet.

ron your nuts, take the bottle out of the trunk and you maybe i'll commend you on your driving skills, but anyways, the track at byrons sucks, and until i know for a fact that my car won't be in the 17's again, im not gonna run. but if i do get it fixed by then, i'll be there for sure. svtnos we should ride up there together. we'll bring tom, lee, victor, and your bro to run. obviously not in our class, but just to get the boys all together. leave arshad at home please, he's bad luck. anyways guys, i hope to see and meet all of you at hooters on the sixth.

Awesome...some interest from the Contour's! Looks like some of our brothers with the new Cougar's are interested too. This could be fun 98.5...The track is much better now. They have applied the VHT and have the snack bar open and everything seems to be running smoothly now! SVTNOS...Not a bad idea, but I think we are going to be breaking into classes based on ET's. Boys Boys, I am definitely game to come run with you guys.. even though  I can not run in any of the classes! I will be showing my support for the Contour... I'll eat a couple Grand Ams if i am given the chance for you guys! Ron, finally we get to run at a track huh??? Beat you on the street, the tracks a different story! (YEAH YEAH, old tires my ass) Personally I am shooting for some 14's... 14.8xx??? And like Joe said, NO arshad, he is horrible luck.. I swear everytime that kid rides with me when I race my car feels like ****... For example, LOSING TO CHRIS BY 1/2 a car.. OUCH hey..
