This sucks i only wish i could go too the meet. But i'll be in banff and calgary for a little vacation.
So have enough fun for me guys.

Ok, here is the deal for all those who are able to make it to the meet.

I'm looking into if we will be able to park inside the park or not on that day.
If it does turn out that we can not park there, don't worry because there is a large parking lot just outside of it, across the road.
We will meet, even if it's not at the park itself.
Once we are done checking out our cars etc, we can go cruising Edmonton showing off the contiques.

Remember to show up early, the parking lot will fill up fast. I plan on being there at 10am. I'll go and see the Heritage Days and then come back for the meet.

Don't forget the Drag racing the following week.

Well, that did not work!

I waited there for a while walking up and down the parking lot looking for CEG'ers but nobody showed up at or near noon.

Would next Sunday at the park be better for all that said they would try and be there?

It would be cool to get to see some of the other local CEG members and check out their wheels.

i woke up late, got there at 12:30 and the cops wouldent let me into a PUBLIC park

needless to say i was pissed

anyways lets try and do it next sunday, maybe a little later in the afternoon?

Couldn't make it today, it was a last minute thing and my dad needed a ride to the airport from town. Sorry guys i was looking forward for this.
Is the drag racing still on for the 9th?
Where are we meeting and what time?

So what is exactly happening on the 9th? I am heading to Victoria the next day from Calgary but might be in Edmonton on the 9th. Keep me posted.

I think I saw you!

Were you driving a greyish tour? If so, COOL TOUR, I saw you being turned away by the cops. I was hoping that everyone had read my post about using the other parking lot if we could not get into the park.

Yes, perhaps next Sunday at say 2pm at the same park. It should be open to the public again by that time.
Remember though that it is a popular park and we may want to try to get there earlier to avoid not having any parking available together!

Look at the drag strip's site here, http://www.budpark.com/ to get more info right now and call them yourself if you have more questions as to rules and times etc.
We will be meeting at the track and if you are racing, we will meet in the pit, if you are just going to watch, I think you may be able to buy a pit pass so that you can meet up with us. If not, enjoy the show and cheer for any contiques that you see racing.Just look around for some other contiques that will be racing and ask the driver if they are with the CEG.
Hey, if the driver is not with the CEG then perhaps let him/her know about us!
