I need someone from the CEG board that is around the Chicagoland area to contact me. I would like to get together to plan out our race so it goes smoothly. I also would like your input as someone from the Contour side of things. Most likely i would need to meet in Shaumburg as this isnt too far from home ( being on call for work all the time i cannt be far from my work truck). I already have what i think is some good ideas. Tell the moderator of the board to look at this post to see that i am ok'ing it for them to give you my e-mail address. Like i said before i am leaning toward a May date for the Byron run, most likely the first or second saturday of the month. Look forward to meeting you

Sorry, I would love to help if I weren't on the verge of selling my SVT.

Just get all the Chicagoland area CEG people together for the run. See to it that everyone acts like adults. I will let you know when i have a date. Most likely it will be saturday May 12th. I should know in about 2 weeks. The run will be at Byron. Let me know if your gonna take care of it please.

I like the idea of a contique race but...
why is there so little activity in here? I know others have said they have the Chicagoland CEG mailing list, but noone responds to anything in here very often. Fstransam, you might wanna try to find the link to that site, its under the ceg chapters page i think.
I too, may not have my Mystique come may 12th!

While i am not a big fan of ricers i am not going to tell you dont bring them. They still are car guys. Maybe we can learn a little something from them. I know that some of them are not to be taken lightly. Does it matter who you race when your at the track? Not really cause if its racing its fun. I should have the date this coming week for the Byron run and the Cordova one maybe also if that can be worked out.

Just an FYI on you guys getting a meet together. I think its great, and wish you the best of luck. But, getting any of the Chicago CEG'ers to do anything seems damn near impossible. Out of about 30 people on the Chicago CEG mailing list, there are about 4 including me that ever respond to emails. I even posted a little writeup the other day about an encounter with a VW Golf VR6 (new one) and didn't get a single response. Everyone's dead, and frankly I'm sick of it. It doesn't matter too much though as my SVT should be sold within the next month (if the state of IL gets off their asses and processes my new title). So, I wish you all the best of luck. My only advice is that one of you will really have to step up and hound people to get their **** in gear. It will be easier with better weather, but its still a fight.

Oh, and BTW, I need someone to take over as the moderator of this board. Email me privately and let me know. I'll tell Lance to make you the new moderator.
