Which model Contours came with pinstripes on them? Were pinstripes specific to certain years? Or were they just a silly option on all models?

I have a 2000 SE Sport with them. Personally I don't like it, but it's painted on. It's a dark grey on top of a burgandy (officially, Chestnut) so it's hardly noticeable.

99 SVT T-red
came installed as a dealer option. Non painted. silver and darker grey silver.
I have grown tired of them, and will be removing them soon. Difficult to get wax/'polish out of the grooves in between the stripes.

I have gold stripes on my Tropic Green SE. It looks fine, but I prefer it clean.
These are dealer/aftermarket accessories, not from the factory.
2000 SE fleet, V6, ATX, ABS, no spoiler, T-Green/tan. Built 01/2000 in MO.
Added 12 spoke factory SE rims, K&N. Biggest mod: ESP Plan!

I like mine... silver on dark blue. You guys all know your color's specific name...is mine just dark blue? Maybe just a fleet color? (Itza former Hertz) A lotta MassPike Taurus' this color...

My best understanding is that pin-stripes are strictly a dealer option not a factory option. So technically no contiques came with them.

i have em. tan stripes on black car. i've grown to love em. they match my tan interior and adds a dash of color.
