i swear i have the worst luck. me and a friend raced, out come irrelevent (sp) and while in progress, the police went by and got my buddy. i got away, atleast i thought. my friend was offered just a 71 in a 45 if he ratted me out and of course he did. 2 nights laters, cops pound on my door at 2 in the morning and hand me a tickit for dragracing. what jerks. could have come during the day atleast. so now i dont know what to do. is the ticket valid even though they didnt catch me. how should i go about handling this ticket? i dont know what to do. if my insurance goes up any more, i wont be driving. any help is appreciated.

That doesnt seem right that they could do that to you.

It does not seem right, but I have received a wreckless ticket from someone calling the cops on me and it stuck (fought it in court)....so I say fight it but be prepared to lose. I guess you should have thought about the ticket before you did it. Like the man said...if ya can't do the time...don't do the crime.....

first of all you're friend is a hoe. second, get yourself the best possible lawyer you can afford because the drag racing tickets are no joke.

I am with Terry on this one...I know fo sho my friends would say they did not know me and we were just messing around or some shizit.....he is a sell out and needs a beat down...

I dont care what you do, the judge is always on the cops side. best advice is i have a lawyer in sterling hts. It is $500 for mistomeners, $250 for civil infractions, You will not get the points and you will be put on advisement for a year. Trust me pay the money, if I would of met her before, I wouldnt be paying $2300 every six months on insurance. If your interested in her number let me know i will give it to you. She saved me out of at least 23 points!!! shes good

A while back I got a drag racing ticket. Total Cost was around $750 to get out of it. Lawyer was 500 and the ticket was a impeding trafic ticket. All I received was a 250 fine and no points. I got lucky.

same thing happend to me except my friend didnt rat me out because he is a friend. I would fight it for sure, you can usually get it reduced at the least.
