I've seen people refer to flywheel that way as well... anyway, isn't he pretty close to 3 bills at the wheels anyhow??? :confused Hitting 300HP only once doesnot qualify as a true 300 HP car. Now, consecutive runs tallied up with a total and averaged out would be consider acceptible data. Until that day.....it's still considered as a 200HP Contour.

I'll agree with that... but by that rationale, ANYONE who puts their best dyno run in their signature is lying (or stretching the truth) about the power on the car?? Just playing devil's advocate here... :p

Well let's see here.. since my pull of 293fwhp I have put on a smaller pulley, removed the main cat and the precats, installed a larger K&N X-Stream filter, had the chip recalibrated and changed the FMU ratio for the smaller pulley.
The only thing that would keep it from consistantly putting down 300fwhp pulls are the plugs and weather conditions (such as high heat & humidity) since the car is not intercooled. -Mark

Mark,
I believe those mods will subtract 287 HP. You unfortunately have the lowest power Contour in history at only 6 HP. Plus it looks like you washed it with gravel and rinsed it with a bucket of manure.

I never seen them use highest run data because once you plot the points, this could be considered an outlier. Dont you guys just hate statistics? :p Stats never lie!

Yeah, I know they use an average, but my thought was: Anyone who states their highest pull on a dyno on a given day as their horsepower is technically a liar, since they do not have the data over a period of time to back it up... Anyway, we're talking in circles. I know exactly what you're talking about. I'm just bored at work, man.
