Well,

I don't know if I posted this here or not, but about 2 months ago, my 93 EGT was keyed. Every panel aside from the roof was affected. Now, I have a 1400.00 check to pay for repairs and I'm looking for a place to fix it. The quarter panel on one side has rust damage, and the hood would need to be replaced as well as new paint on most of the panels. Anybody know of a decent place that could patch some rust and paint for 1500.00 or so? My intention is to sell the car after it is repaired, so perfection is not necessary.

My wife got hit about 2 years ago and the estimate was $550. They didn't call the police at the time so any insurance claim would have been at her fault and we would pay our $500 dedcutible and rates go up. So, we paid for it ourselves. Our insurance agent recommended Key Oldsmobile in Warren. They did a great job of fixing a couple dents, painting the right side bed (pickup) & right rear door, and replaced the taillight assembly. I would recommend them. In fact, my bumper is cracked on the IS and I am taking it there for repair as well. I'm stopping by on my way home (already made insurance claim) to have them take a look at it and list the parts they need to order. anyway, I would think that they could do what you need within your check range.

Talk to Jim Whipple in the body shop @ 586-751-6100.

I have also heard great praise for Auto Metrics in Royal Oak. Something tells me they are kind of expensive, though.

Try the place I just went to. Did an awesome job. Hahn`s Collision center in taylor. Ask for Paul. Tell him that Marc referred you to him.

For dealerships, I have fairly decent service over at Russ Milne in Macomb, but don't know about their body work dept.

Jerome Duncan in Sterling Heights has a bunch of pricks working for them. Maybe others have had better experience...

Stay away from Alan Ford in Blomfield Hills for bodywork. Actually stay away from them period. They're very BAD...

I've seen work done by Bojax in R.O. Pretty nice and they're really quick. I would use them in the future.

Here's their contact info:
