In my limited knowledge, I'll say that it might help.
However, in a modern car like this, a tune-up consists mostly of replacing spark plugs and cleaning the fuel system. The shops have specialized equipment for this cleaning, which may do a better job, but you may be able to get by with buying a fuel system cleaner like BG's 44K for about $20. (Unlike many products on the market, this stuff actually works.) You'll have to go to a service shop to get it, and if you took your car to them, it's basically the same stuff they would use.
If you want to be more thorough, consider new plugs and wires.
