ok i want everyones opinion on whats faster.
The contour svt or the focus svt. i was having a discution with a kid i know who has a focus svt and says its faster. I dont think it is just by the specs i read on it but does anyone dissagree with me when i say the contour is faster.

Focus SVT runs 16's if I am correct, stock.

Contour SVT runs 15's, stock.

the Focus is just a bit faster, stock vs. stock. I have driven both, and work with the people that designed both.

i have read the focus svt is faster but it doesnt look as good.

The contour has better specs so I don't see how the focus could be faster. Plus its ugly, but i do want to rip out the shifter, metal pedals, and especailly the 17' wheels I love em'.

What does it run in the 1/4 mile? It has a huge advantage by being able to run 3rd out, that's for sure. Do the 0-60 and 0-100 times compare favorably to the SVTC? I'm sure the 60-0 distances are better, since it has bigger brakes on a lighter car.

I'm actually curious, b/c it would be funny to meet up with a SVTF owner at the drag strip and hand him his @ss if he was expecting to beat a SVTC. I'd have to keep him away from my license plate and all, but it would still be funny.

Just look at the trap speed between the two. Every testing so far got the focus to run over 90+ mph while the contours were all in the high 80s mph; I wouldn't look at the ET due to the non-defeatable traction control that all the tested focus have. The truth is that the svt focus has better weight/power ratio and much better gearing than the svt contour.
