Yup! I got busted a week ago in Brighton. No tint on the front (which I have known for 3 years now) I have 20% on the front and back. He pulled me over just to be mean. Searched the car and didnt do a good job (didnt check the trunk...nothing was in there, but he did a bad job. Its really my moms car (in her name)and she has a note for tint on the windows. Last year, in Novi we took the note to the clerk and they tore up the ticket. Now, in Brighton we tried to do that and now I need to meet with a judge or something. And if I dont take it off I have to pay a $185 ticket!! It went up! So I need to find another red svt with no tint to pull off my plan

I don't understand this law, doesn't the sun shine in "every" state? Seeing as it does, why is it legal in other states then  I think a happy medium can/should be reached, like a certain % should be allowed

So I need to find another red svt with no tint to pull off my plan I hate brighton cops! i got a ticket just 3 weeks ago for a 51 in a 35, he didn't even take it down any, and then he saw the 4" tip on my muffler and made me rev my engine, and wrote me a warning for loud exhaust and said "anything louder than factory is illegal" i'll let you use my car, but he'd probably notice the difference from svt to se.

Thanks for the offer on the car thing. I am sure we could get away with it but i dont know If I want to take the chance. But, Brighton cops are the worst. The cop was like "step out of the car, Stand here!" then he said "Wow, sounds good" I was like "ya thanks man!"

I think the cop doesn't know the law. It can't be louder then a certain dB and I doubt he has the equipment to measure it correctly.

98db is Max, and it has to be measured at a certain angle and engine speed. Last I checked cops don't have calibrated Sound Pressure Measuring devices built into their heads.
