Ok, Ive had a screw stuck in my rear drivers side tire which I noticed a couple weeks ago. It hasnt been a real problem until late, when I got up this morning and it had 8lbs of pressure in it. So I called up the local guy and took it to him but he cant fix it because of the side skirts needing some kind of 'adapter' to lift it which he didnt have. mad mad mad

Anyone know of any one around here who DOES have the proper tools to fix a flat????
Or should I just buy a fix-a-flat thing since I'm getting new tires in a week anyway?

Thanks

LOL... the "adapter" at most shops consists of a block of wood (2x4) cut down to about 6 inches...

Adaptor???? I just lift the plates up on the hoist and up she goes, no adaptors and hasn't crushed the rocker either. I can fix this for you but now my shop is closed til monday, but sears is open on sundays till 5, try there. Don't buy the fix a flate, please!! Not only is it a pain to clean up when the new tire is put on ,but if it is not cleaned up all the way it can cause a balancing concern.

Well, I ended up bringing the car back home, jacking it up on the jack I have and taking it off MYSELF (and damn was it HARD..haha) No adapter needed either...then took it to Discount Tire in A2 and got it fixed for free.
