I just perused an article on USAToday.com and they talked about the new Freelander. I saw these specs:

? What's the powertrain? Transverse-mounted, 2.5-liter V-6 engine rated 174 horsepower at 6,250 rpm and 177 pounds-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm.

How did they get 177 lb/ft of torque out of what looks like a normal SE engine? Whatever they did.....I want it!

1) It is not a Duratec.

2) It has a 10.5:1 compression ratio.

That would be a rover engine, I don't know what other vehicles might have used it (some of the new mg's maybe?) but it certainly is not a duratec

Every time I come online I wonder if the forums will be up
