I'm getting ready to replace the WP, & want to go the whole 9 yards - flush cooling system, replace thermostat, & TRY eek to replace all of the radiator & heater hoses.

I've spent a lot of time trying to get everything together - seems most places only carry 3 of the radiator hoses - NAPA lists some heater hoses also, & one of the reservoir hoses. Are the reservoir hoses a different diameter at each end, something you have to get from the dealer, or can you just buy regular hose by the foot to use here?

I've also spent a lot of time peering into the engine (while crying) just tying to find & trace all of the hoses. I just don't see how you would get to some of them. I can't even see where the heater hoses go into the firewall, let alone imagine being able to remove/install clamps there!! Has anyone ever managed to get at them?

I've done a lot of searches here, & read a ton of posts on replacing the WP & stat, but didn't see where anyone talked about replacing all of the hoses - just wondering if it's actually possible!!!! confused

I'm sure it's possible smile I do have to commend you though for replacing all of the coolant hoses; you're definitely up on your maintenance!

most of them -- yes, but not all.
upper hose is actually not that bad once you have battery and AI removed
lower rad hose is major pita with the clamp tool, w/o clamp tool... fugget it. personally I didn't even try because frankly there ain't much hose down there anyway.

enjoy

Heater hoses where they attach at the firewall can be accessed from below the car.
