anyone ever have this problem? when i go to turn it over once in a while, nothign happens. all the lights on the dash come on, but nothing turns over, ther's no noise or anything. it takes 4 or 5 times before it will start.. is my starter going out?? anyone have any other suggestions??

with those 4 or 5 starts.......is your starter actually trying to turn over???

Either the starter, or your ignition switch is having difficulty finding 'start'-hitting 'on' instead, or your Neutral/Drive switch is going bad (assuming you have a non-european MTX75)-indicating that you are in drive when you try to start.

I'd check the NDS switch first--it is the cheapest to replace. If you have a scan tool, read the 'NDSFLG' or 'PNP' parameter (PID 1101, 1 byte, bit 1, 0=neutral). If you don't have a scan tool, try mashing the clutch pedal between attempts and see if that effects the number of attempts before the starter kicks in--not a conclusive test by any means.

with those 4 or 5 starts, nothing happens, at least not for turnign over wise. all the dash lights come on, but no noise or turn over or anythign with the ignition. it doesn't always happen though, today, the car started fine. no problems at any start up today...

Check the connection's.....and maybe the starter soleniod is going........I would have it checked out though.....Most auto parts stores check them for free if you can take off your starter....if not i believe that its 16 bucks at Pep Boys....I hope I helped you out......If i was you i would check the connection's first
