As you all know, svtoa had the christmas party at kart2kart this past sunday. All I can say is that it was a blast; it was even better than the one held earlier this year. Mark, thank you for organizing this event.

Now to the fun stuff. I did not finish in the top spot as I predicted. There were couple ringers that showed up and kicked my butt. You all know who you are. laugh But I did manage to smoke Rara and finished in the top 5 in individual lap time. It's too bad that I didn't get the chance to duke it out with some of the top drivers in the endurance race. My team managed to stayed in last place when I took over; the closest car to me was one lap ahead of me(rara's team). Somehow I managed to catch him and passed him in the very last turn of the race and avoided finishing last.

Now, it's time to get in shape so my fat ass doesn't get pass in the straight away again. smile

Man, I was running so SLOW yesterday! I couldn't believe it. Oh well, we all had fun, even the last place guy (I have NO idea who that could be . . . laugh ) Heck even my wife's team beat my team! lol

oh, btw Tzu, I was gonna race you on the way home, but I had three people in the car, and didn't want to embarass you! wink lol

It's all about balance.

Actually I don't think it was just you that ran slower time than normal. Most of the guys were at least one second off on their lap time; the track was just cold and most of the cars handled like crap. I only wish I had the #10 car; 90% of the best time were turned in that car.

One thing that did surprise me was that your wife was running as fast as you, and she gave me a run for my money in couple laps. And her team did beat both of our teams. Even 15 straight 35 sec lap times couldn't get me any better than a 9th place finish. Actually it would've been 10th place if not for my little dirty trick at the end. wink The most important part was that everyone had fun.

You were racing me? :p Shoot, I was in 5th gear most of the time anyway so the race would've definitely been fair. I guess we will just have to duke it out at the svt experience(at both MIS and milan). smile

I must also say it was a blast. Thx to Mark for organizing another killer event!

I also thought it was a blast. Somehow in spite of two spins (one of which was entirely my fault) my team (A) avoided last place in the endurance race. Our last driver ran 6 of the best laps of the day in his stint.

The only downside to the event was that a few people ran in quite a few heats and took spots from others. I think everyone ended up running in at least two, but to do that I and some others gave up our tickets for what would have been our third heat. This was all probably due to the turnout (which was huge) and all was good after the endurance race. I would love to take part in an hour long race there.

A special thanks to Mark and everyone else who helped put it together. I plan on going back soon.

Glad to hear that everyone had fun as the event certainly seemed a success. We did have a problem with some people getting more runs that others but to be honest it was bad planning on our part Next tiem we will give out run tickets at the beginning so that everyone gets equal track time before the enduro race. On a bright note, those that didn't make the enduro were given a buy one get one free ride coupon from K2K.

As far as the ringer goes I was sick of hearing about how you guys were going to be the fastest so I invited him to shut you all up!!! laugh I thought it was pretty effective myself!

Brian, your wife was DEFINITELY kicking your butt!!!

I'm hoping we see more Contours at the Experience as Seth and I were having WAY to much fun eating all the Cobra's and Lightning's at IRP!!
