Well about a month ago, I told you about how my car overheated and died in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia. Well today, I just mailed in the form to contest the charges at Firestone. I contested on two reasons. The first charge which was diagnostics, which told me to take the car to a dealer for an internal leak due to "a cracked engine block or bad head gasket." Terry and everyone all assured me this was not the case and I figured it was a plume of smoke being blown up my butt, so I took the car to a Ford dealership and all it needed was a coolant flush (which I knew) and brake pads (which I also knew). The second contestion comes from all work done after the inital diagnostic since I was not informed of what was being done to my car until after it had already been completed. The gentleman at the bank which backs my Firestone card told me I had a good case and to contest all the charges. Now it is just time to wait and see what happens. If all goes well, that is $164 that I will not have to pay to a useless "shop".
Just a little background, this is an even more unethical Firestone since it is located on a college campus.
