I recently saw the movie "Arlington Road" again that starred Tim Robbins, Joan Cusack and Jeff Bridges. I noticed that Jeff was driving a red 1996 Contour GL near the end of the movie (big driving scene) and then "magically" it turns into a 1998 Tour! Whoa.

What other movies have you seen our cars appear in? I have yet to see a Mystique.

List them here!!!

1995 Mercury Mystique GS Sport
2.5 Duratec
K&N Drop In
High-Flo exhaust
Tint

Bad things:
- clear coat flaking off!
- timing chain going
- idler pulley defunct
- rack and pinion going bleh
- Ford dealerships

My dad said he was watching a movie and saw a Mystique that looked exactly like mine, but it got drivin (or was it pushed?) off a cliff eek . He couldn't remember the name of it, so I can't confirm that. Anyone out there know the name?

::edit::
Ohh, yeah and some of the police cars in "gone in sixty seconds" where Contours, but they got wreked as well frown .

In the motorcycle chase scene in MI:2 the cars looked a lot like Mondeos...I could be wrong, though...

I'm pretty pissed off about the Police Contours in Gone In Sixty Seconds. If you look closely (in fact you don't even need to look closely... they're obvious) you can see tracks or frames underneath them while coming around the curve. The Escalade made the turn fine, why were the Contours rigged? Makes us look bad! mad

My brother says that he saw Contours in Robocop: Prime Directive (the TV movie based on the film). But I can't confirm that.

How come cars like Cadillacs can be driven by guys like Carter in the movie Get Carter (appropriatly titled), but SVTs can't be bad guy cars? It'd be so rad to see an SVT dicing it out with another car on the big screen. Maybe when it's older and is considered a classic car. wink

I can't think of the movie, but FBI agents use a 97 contour in the opening seen to try and chace a crook down.
