Just want to see what kind of results people have had from removing their door ding guards(kanuberizing).

I haven't removed mine because I think that door dings would look worse than people seem to think the ding guards do. So there! laugh

I originally removed mine becuase I have door dings about 2 inches ABOVE where the guards were. They were useless.

I have not removed mine yet. I'm concerend about if their is clear coat under it or not. Also it is probabley a pain in the butt to remove all the old glue. Also my car is white so will the paint actually match.

I removed mine, and found something interesting. My drivers side doors were repainted before I purchased the car, New from the Dealer. There are rough spots were the doors were sanded beneath the strips and not repainted, and also the paint does not match under the strips to the paint on the doors. I have taken it to the Ford Body shop and they are looking into the repair. I think the car looks much better with them removed as well as being easier to wax.

MAKE COMPLETELY SURE your doors have not been repainted, and if they have DO NOT do this. It just isn't worth repainting for. shocked
