It's a standard. But more or less, it's the same isn't it? Put it in reverse and the lights should come on, right? Therefore, is there a switch in the tranny for stick??
If it's in the wiring harness, does the whole thing need to be replaced? Or is there a particular item that can be fixed/replaced? But then again, I had the wiring harness replaced last summer and I had the problem before that
I had the tranny out last summer as well when I had the clutch done so I'm assuming that it's not a switch there, although I DO still have the same tranny...
Recap: Not the fuses. Not the bulbs. Not any visible wiring. LIKELY not the wiring harness.
O.K., now I'm starting to get frustrated.
That leaves the switch in the tranny, (if there is one in a manual). Ford says they would have to trace the connections all the way back to the front which would be costly and like 1st 3L 95SE Wannabe said, it's not like it's my headlights so I'm not willing to shell out that kind of dough and we all know, Ford ain't cheap!
