I am very interested in starting a car club. I want to get together with some people and come up with some ideas. I'm so use to seeing Honda's, Acura's, Grand Am's and other cars like that I decided to make the car club called, UnderDog Racing. Some benefits I will be working will be getting many things cheaper through mass quantity. For example dedicate a hole car club to one company for detailing if they give us a certain % off. Or people that work at places that could benefit each other start doin these kind of things. i'm interested to hear some responces. Thanks people.

There are a couple of clubs already in the area (Redline) and the SVT/SHO club that already offer discounts. Are you a member of either of these clubs?

Getting a group of friends together is easy, but when it comes down to hacking out plans for meetings, being an accountant towards funds and/or membership dues, and discounts, it's not as easy as saying it... We have been around for about 1 year and half and still no dedicated sponsors. Me, HunterVF, and another person not on the forums started the SVT/SHO Society, and started off with 5 to 6 people for the first three to five months... until we started planning even harder. Your determination will be the deciding factor of whether or not the club stands or falls. So you gotta put your heart into it. This isn't a slam towards you, or not let you start a club, but just giving you some advise and realization that it's not simple without costs. Oh, by the way, Welcome to the CEG. I know... Redline is a big club over on the East side of the sate... Check them out too... Where is Tim (nvmy98svt) when you need him... Hehe...

SodXSaint....i don't know where you're from, but if you go to the Mickey Shore on 15 mile and Stevenson Highway and ask for Rockey, he's been wanting to start one for a while. he already has hook ups with all the mickey shore stuff, but he can get mad discounts on wheels and lowering kits and things like that from another guy in the club. there one more place that does like the asthetic stuff too, they'll make it custom for you for fairly cheap.

Thanks for the advice. I work for a computer company so I know a lot of head houncho's around here. I've only been in this area for about a year. I don't want to join a car club cause I'm actually north a little more. I'm also not interest in spending money to the car club. I want this to be a way for people to be a team in racing events be legal or not. It will include more then just contours, but limited to cars not seen very much to a certain extent. I want this to make suping up a car cheaper, racing cheaper, and just make this hobby funnier. I already have about ten people, a person that owns a stereo sales store, a person that makes decals, and a few others. I right now live in Saginaw so it would be hard for me to always keep up with what's going on with a club that meets on days that I work. I realise it will take some work, but everything does. This will be a fun experiment. And thanks for the welcome to CEG.

I got a 95 Ford Contour GL. I just bought it like 6 months ago and recently like last week decided to do **** to it. Last friday some fvcker hit my door and front left panel then took off. Now i have to pay my deductable to get it fixed. So much for buying my intake and chip right f'n there. This might stall me a little on the car club. But it still needs planning. My e-mail address is SoDxSainT@hotmail.com, i'm usually doing something every weekend. Write me an e-mail and we will chill.
