Fastest or quickest?

Mark is going to prove he's the fastest so far.

I would think David Z and WorldTour would be very close to one another. I think David Zs car has 5 or 6 more hp...

WorldTour loses to minivans...his car can't be that quick! wink wink

DavidZ has 5 or 6hp more? No offense to DavidZ, but I am putting about the same hp at the wheels then he is at the crank.

And that damn minivan was some sort of Viper powertrain mule! How was I supposed to know? laugh

Actually, I thought his website said 297 or something like that at the wheels. I could definitely be wrong, it would be the 457th time that I was wrong.

I think the 297hp was his estimated flywheel hp, with the dyno # being in the 260hp range.

According to the math...
With a 20% parasitic loss from the MTX-75...
DavidZ dynoed 238.5FWHP which equals 298.125HP at the crank.
My last dyno (although I still feel it was a freak run that would be hard to duplicate) was 293.6FWHP which equals 367hp at the crank.

my bad, i was talking about 1/4 mile trap times.
just curious how quick the contour can get.
i have been thinking of buying one, and i want to make sure if i do, i can make it quick as i want it, is there a good after market for parts?

right now its just a thought, but i need a second car and i am leaning toward a contour svt.
yes im from focaljet and i visit corral, stangnet, and i have a focus right now, im doing a v8 swap with rear wheel drive in it soon, right now, some people think and have claimed my focus to be the fastest privately owned focus on the street. currently , im in the 13's with it. but i have no idea if it is the quickest or not, could care less at this point. ill be more worried about my track times when i do the v8 and rear wheel drive swap. but like i said, i would like to get a second car, and im looking into the option of a contour svt, i had a 96 se once before and loved the car, would like as much info as possible on if there is a good after market and what kind of times can be acheived from the contour.

Aftermarket is pretty decent... The quickest Contour I've seen is Mark's at 13.8... But I can't remember if that was G-tech or not...
