Yeah so im at the ice cream place on main street and i see from the corner of my eye a yellow car. i turn around and its some car with a huge wing on the trunk lid. i immediatly recognized it was the focus FR200 (concept?). Exhuast sounded really good, had purple graphics on the side, over all looked pretty sweet. Ask matt, (trurida22) he saw him down there too. So was this just a bodykit for the focus or was this the real thing? I told my friend in his 2000 trans am to go race him. According to supercars.net, the FR200 has 304 hp! Anyways, i was excited when i saw it and just wanted to let you guys know!

there are 2 M-plate focii (or what ever you want to call them). There is that yellow one with the flame-type decal and there is a metallic lime green one too. Both are Mplates, I am gonna talk to some ford ppl and find out eactly what they are.

There are 2 silver FR200's, a dark red one with the projector beam headlights and flames on the side, and a couple of yellow ones running between Livonia and Dearborn all the time. McLaren Engines (8 Mile between Farmington and Merriman) did all the engine design, some suspension design and most of the assembly of the cars for Ford. Keep your eyes open for a couple FR500's too, as well as a few other special models. Bob

I don't know if the one that you saw was real or not, but all the one's that I've seen are real. I've never seen one on the road though, except when pulling into our building.
If it had the FR200 body kit, it would require the unique suspension pieces and bigger wheels to properly fill the flared fenders. Without the turbo motor, they couldn't properly test the handling, so that would mean this car would be used just for testing the body panels. I really doubt it is simply a cosmetic mule.
If it had manufacturers plates, and was very loud, I'd guess it was real.

The red one with the flames on the side is very impressive (probably the best looking IMHO). No one would let me drive it though

Yeah, the guy driving is mid 40ish and the kid next to him might have been his daughter. Blond and looked like 18? The focaljet hooked up with the car at a g2g Friday night and it rocks!
