What would a Canadian that wanted to purchase a SVT from the US have to worry about? What taxes and paperwork would be involved? I ask because I see so many 99 Silver Frost for sale south of the border but nothing up here.

Well it has to past all the safety checks and there is also another safety check that they do at the border or something. Lots of stuff to do.

Gotta get all the warnings in French and stuff like that.

Goto your ministry of transportation you can get all the info

Fairly detailed step-by-step regarding federal requirements (safety standards, paperwork, $$) can be seen at:

http://www.riv.ca/english/html/how_to_import.html

For starters, the 1999 SVT is on the OK list (just like most 1986-2002 Ford products). Enjoy!

There's a silver frost advertised in Ottawa. Check the Montreal/Ottawa forums and the classifieds for more info.
