Well, I finally purchased a new auto to replace my '95 GL Contour. My daughter is now in possession of this car (freshman at UT) After spending 1 month looking at different models, prices, etc. (I wanted basic transportation that wasn't too expensive for driving to the office and back), I purchased a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier LS Coupe. I liked the price (3000 rebate). It drives fine and has plenty of room, plus with this model almost all options are included. After purchasing a consumer reports auto report on this model, I was finally able to get it to a price that I thought was great! My drive out cost including ttl was $12,900.00.

Nice buy for the price!

I would never buy a Cavy even if consumer reports sadi it was a good buy. There is only so much CR knows about a NEW car. I know quite a bit more, since I deal with the used ones.

But congrats on the good deal.

The Cav coupes are nice looking. Only problem is that there's too many of them on the streets now ...

Then again, I haven't ridden in one yet so I can't offer my opinion on its ride or if I would like it.
