I ordered the set of H&R springs for my car- which should be here Tuesday-, and was wondering if anyone has installed springs on their cars themselves. Not too many places downriver here a willing to do it for around $180 or even do it at all. If anyone can whip me up a set of instructions or that has any advice on install, could you possibly help? Thanks,

My only advice is to not drink to many beers while doing the install. We did and forgot to tighten the lugs on the drivers side front wheel. It almost fell of on the e-way at about 70. Car was shakin like hell and our drunk a$$'s thought it was just a $h!tty road at first

It seems to take a lot longer while drinkin too for some unknown reason

I forgot to tighten the lugs before when I changed the parking brake cables! The car was shaking, and I thought WTF!!! Then I remember that I didn't tight those lugs down!

Got the springs today!! YESSSSS!! Look at these bad boys!

Nomi, I'll give you a call sometime this week. I found a place to install at $150, but I think I am going to get new struts along with the install.. I'll have to think about it, since I have 80k miles on the car.. Thanks !

Thanks

Brian,
The place that quoted me $150 was Brownstown Auto- phone number: 734-782-4005. This was for just spring install only, and was a rough estimate, because he said for his final word I would ahve to bring it in for him to look at.

I've taken extensive looks at the suspension, and really think this is something that i can do myself. All i need to do is rent some spring compressors, and then figure how to compress the struts and I'll be all set!!
Isn't the blue a great look!? Hehe..
