I was driving in Livonia tonight, and saw something interesting... a silver Contour with Roush banners on the windsheld and rear window, and some type of chrome wheels. I couldn't see badges as it was dusk, but the reason I'm even posting this is because I watched him take off from a light and when he punched it, it REALLY sounded like he had a blower. Since I was only a few blocks from Roush headquarters, it popped into my head that maybe this was a car they did some work on...

Anybody know anything about this??? Of course it could've been a SVT with a blower, a Roush fan or employee, or maybe I was just awake for a little too long and he didn't have a blower at all... just wondering, as I really wanna run an SVT with a blower!

could be anything, Roush did a lot of the original development for the SVT Contour.

It's all about balance.

Yeah, no telling. Roush did all the Contour SVT's and their respective modifications for Bondurant down in AZ.

It was most likely for Bondurant. I live right by the roush garage. I've only seen bondurant contours there. They do some crazy experimenting there too. So, who knows???

Far as I know, those wouldn't be Bondurant Contours. I was down there last week, and the only Contours that are down at Bondurant right now (far as I know) are two instructor Contours (yellow in color) and they are being replaced by the Cobra Crown Vics. I don't think they were planning on ordering any more 'Tours...

Cobra Crown Vic, what's that?
This is the first I've heard of it.

Cobra engine in blacked out Crown Vic with cage, seats, 4 4-points. I'm sure some chassis/suspension work was done, but don't know the specifics

There's a brief description with a pic at the bondurant web page. The instructors say they are "awesome" and "a ball to drive".
