Any suggestions as to some good roads (twisties) to run the Contour on?

I was out on Orion Rd last night. That's a lot of fun, crowded sometimes though.

I'm still learning what this car can do. I'm amazed so far.

In Ann Arbor (where I live), Huron River Drive is one of the most twisty non-mountain roads I've been on. The best stretch is heading west between N. Main (in AA) and Mast Rd. in Dexter. Warning: there's a 35mph limit and lots of cyclists. Your best bet would be to run it at night and I'm solving the lighting issue by having PIAA 510 driving lamps installed in place of the (useless) fogs tomorrow morning.
If anybody would like to meet up for a drive there and in the surrounding areas (including downtown and U of M campus!), email me: cwc3@yahoo.com and we can try and setup a little 'tour.

If you take M43 form K-zoo to Hastings its a pretty good run. I have a road rally drawn up that I could show you but its by Jackson.

Huron River Drive is a sweet road. I used to live in Ann Arbor. I had a lot of good runs and one bad one on that road. I especially like the uphill turns when you're heading back to Ann Arbor.

Gotta watch out in Ann Arbor though, cops are viscious with almost no breaks given. I've learned this the hard way.

I took a motorcycle tour this summer and came across what have to be 2 of the best roads in the state. Both are in the northwest corner of the state.

M22 runs from Manistee to the Leelenau peninsula. Nice and twisty and actually some elevation changes.

The other is M119 out of Harbor Springs. I don't know who came up with M119 but he was either insane or a genius. It's about one and a half lanes wide and constantly turning up and down hills.

That would make a nice fall color tour. If the weather ever comes back.

Anyway, I was looking for nice turns in Oakland County. Any suggestions?

I enjoyed taking Huron Parkway in A2 from Plymouth to Washtenaw (posted 40MPH at the time, parts are 35 now) at 95 MPH at 3AM. Good thing there weren't any cops (or anyone else for that matter) out at the time. This was in my sister's Tracer back in '89(?). She was slightly less appreciative than my passenger at the time.
Great curves; would love to repeat the experience with the Contour, but I'm not quite as foolhardy (wrt cops especially) these days.

Just stay away from the Hell/Pickney area.....lots of motorcyclests everywhere. Lots of traffic and many blind corners.....trust me I know about the bike's. I ride one of them and there is getting to be too many out there.

The north end of Hines Drive (near Northville) can be pretty cool when traffic is light and there is no Officers o' the law about.

It's all about balance.
