Before the SHO blew up did you happen to do the valve adjustment? Or do you know of any shop that could do it? This question could go out to anyone else here that might know a shop that could do this for me. I would prefer a shop that has done it before.

I had it done at 72K by a place in detroit when i was on leave.. then at i think 117 at a place in warrensburg they didn't want to do it though ill ask him when i get back home..

Dude i watched the guy do mine and it wasn't really that hard. I have The SHO work book thingy if you want we can do it. Its the hardest part of the 60K.....

Well the only thing with ford is they have discontinued some of the shims...I mean you can still get them but FORD has discontinued them. At least that is what I remember hearing. Steeda, how much work did you do to the SHO on your own? Not tryin to be an ass or anything, just would hate to get this thing apart and us not be able to put it back together right. It's the only part of the 60k left, and Wednesday I am getting my timing belt and CPS replaced. I was thinking when I did the valve lash that I could change out the 3.2 cams with the 3.0 cams since its already torn down that far...from what I hear it gives the auto a little better top end performance. But I think its only one set of cams that your replace...and not both of them.

Never heard of the Cam swap.... I did a little bit i had her torn down to the Block when i hit the deer. i got all new gaskets when i did mine though. its the only way to do it:) i got a chilton somewhere floating around or it might be in the SHO where ever the hell hte SHO is... I think the cops still got her? ohh well im over it... Just let me know what you wanna do ill help ya if you want me too
Valve Lash cost me about 500 to have that place do it
i think its too much for that
