Yeah. His car is a freak about that.

Except the only time we went to the track together and he ran SLOW!!! He claimed some intake problem... wink laugh

I ran 14.75 @ 96 with a 2.4  60' I claim traction problems. Honest... :p

I don't expect good times until this fall. Heat soak is a killer! Running in 85-95 degrees and 80% or better humidity just sucks!

That's not even taking into account the crappy (up hill) track.

Long live Auto Cross!!! laugh [/b]
Yeah, don't get me started about my impressive performance the night I met you. I looked at my slips and I ran five times and ran five 14.9s@95 that night. Five!!!! I should have been bracket racing laugh What's sad is I was running 14.9s last Wednesday night in 80+ degree weather with 80% humidity. Yep, my intake is fixed!!

I hope you can make out to KCIR on September 20th. I want to compare ETs and MPHs with you after I get my intake manifold installed. I'd love to run a 14.4-14.5@99mph that night because that would make me very competitive with most of the guys out there. What's funny is the out-of-towner GP owners HATE KCIR because most are .3-.5 slower at KCIR.

Traction of the line is what holds my car back. It's time for drag radials. My 14.68@97.79mph is my best ET and MPH. I'm usually in the 96-97mph range. I probably had a good tailwind that day at the track to run near 98mph. Of course the 00 GT Stang in the next lane only went 99mph. I guess the wind wasn't helping him laugh

I was thinking about going to KCIR maybe Wednesday, July 31.

Get a test and tune night in before August 10 (the best day of the year)

I had a few new ideas to try and swap out at the track.

I also had another idea of lunacy. I may actually try Venom's Nitto's.
I figured out a safe way to launch (clutch withstanding) and my KDW's are slick as sh~t anyways. Plus I won't have my new P-03's (Yep Bridgestone's Eric :p ) until probably September.

Honestly I hope none of you show so I can stay ahead of the curve. wink However I thought I'd throw it out there...

Another footnote:

Here\'s a "bad" video of an SVT doing 0-120mph the other day (hot & humid! :p )
Redline (7400rpm) shifts: 39mph, 63mph, 92mph respectively

July 31st is a good day for me. I can bring out the Nitto's for anyone who wants to run them. I think that you should do fine if you don't try a 5000RPM dump. No burnout should be necessary with them, they are pretty soft.

I want to do a couple of runs myself. I was doing a little testing last night and things are running good.... wink

I think being there is a great idea. Also,
KCIR is uphill? By how much? WTF?

/me hates the dip in the left lane at KCIR frown

If you look at the track at KCIR. Both lanes are slightly up hill until half track. The left one is the worse of the two & the dip doesn't help matters either... That is of course if the ruts don't get you first...

Don't even get me started on the staging area. I've rolled backwards out of the lights atleast once so far this year (again left lane!) and I've only been there once so far... :p

I also agree that everyone that comes here complains about much slower times. It's easy to see why...
