There was a pretty good event last weekend out at KCIR that had show and drags. Didn't see many C's tho...where was everyone at?

I personally have more fun with tracks that corner, but drags are fun too. Especailly when you can holeshot some higher priced iron laugh

The SVTOA event on August 10th will have a car show in addition to drags. It's open to any Ford powered ride, and you don't have to be an SVTOA member to attend. In fact SVTOA membership isn't limited to SVT vehicles--any Ford vehicle can join and participate.

More info on the event (and other SVTOA issues) can be found on our new website:

I hope you guys can help me represent some other quick 4-doors at KCIR on September 20 when I go race against some GTPs at the national GP "Gathering" at KCIR (~90 GPs will be there).

Based on your ET, you'd beat my GTP. frown It's only gone 14.88, but I'm working on a pulley - the Club GP guys claim it'll get me 25+ hp. I asked what I'd expect in ET reduction...gotta go see what they thought.

By the time GPG rolls around, I will have installed an intake manifold from the Japanese Maxima (Cefiro). It will gain me a little more peak power, but the real kicker is that it will let my car breath straight to the 6500rpm redline instead of dying off at 5300rpms. Most guys are seeing a .4 drop in ET and a gain of 3-4mph with these manifolds. I can't wait.

As for the pulley on the GTP, it's my understanding that the 3.4" pulley is your best bet for streetability and performance. These pullies usually add about 15-20fwhp and tq.

OTOH that Maxima is pulling some great MPH for that e.t., the GTP only pulled what, 91 or 92?

Yeah. His car is a freak about that.

Except the only time we went to the track together and he ran SLOW!!! He claimed some intake problem... wink laugh

I ran 14.75 @ 96 with a 2.4  60' I claim traction problems. Honest... :p

I don't expect good times until this fall. Heat soak is a killer! Running in 85-95 degrees and 80% or better humidity just sucks!

That's not even taking into account the crappy (up hill) track.

Long live Auto Cross!!! laugh

A friend of mine just dynoed after the addition of a pulley and cat-back system to his 98-99 GTP, he put down 227! He still wants me to race him, I think he wants to use me as a confidence booster! My response is always, sure we'll start at 125mph! (GTPs are governed at 127-ish) laugh :p

I'll see what his stock dyno numbers were and update you guys, I don't think he has a post pulley 1/4 mile time, w/out them he was mid-14s though frown .
