Next Wednesday nite several of us Lightnings are headed out to KCIR for a little informal test-n-tune night. This is a regular 'Grudge race' Wednesday for KCIR. No classes/brackets, just run as many times as you want to. We're going to use the night for a little comraderie and to help dial in our trucks in anticipation of the upcoming events mentioned below.
The track is open from 6-10pm. Admission is $10.00 to watch and $15.00 to race--under 12 FREE. On Wednesday, everyone will enter using the Pit road (south entrance road next to the big parking lot--VERY easy to see/find). For those of you who haven't ever been there, KCIR is located on Noland Road approximately 6-7 miles South of I-70, or about 1/4 mile North of 350 Hiway (aka Knobtown). No way to miss it if you're driving by.
If you've never been dragracing before, come on out and we'll show you how so you'll be a wily 'ol seasoned pro by the time the Fab Ford Weekend on 7/13-14/2002 and/or OUR SVTOA event on August 10th.
Its fun. Its very easy. Don't GUESS what your ride will/should do in the quartermile--come on out and FIND OUT...look for the Lightnings. Bring your helmet because they don't have many loaners. It's possible you can borrow one of ours tho, unless we're using it.
